Abstract

The growing popularity of cloud computing has led to the rise of multi-tenant cloud environments, where multiple clients share the same underlying infrastructure. This shared model offers significant cost and resource efficiency but presents unique challenges in ensuring optimal performance while maintaining robust security. The objective of this paper is to explore secure optimization strategies that balance the often-competing demands of performance and protection in multi-tenant cloud environments. We delve into techniques that optimize resource allocation, workload isolation, and system scalability while simultaneously implementing security measures that safeguard data integrity, confidentiality, and access control. Key areas covered include efficient resource management strategies, the importance of workload isolation to prevent interference, the role of encryption in securing sensitive data, and the use of advanced access control mechanisms to maintain tenant privacy. We also discuss real-world implementation examples and provide recommendations for cloud providers and administrators to effectively meet the performance and security needs of multi-tenant cloud infrastructures.
