Abstract

The Internet of Things (IoT) has revolutionized various industries by enabling unprecedented levels of connectivity and data exchange. However, this expansion comes with significant security challenges, including vulnerabilities in devices, network security issues, and privacy concerns. This paper explores these challenges in detail, examining common threats such as DDoS attacks, data breaches, and Man-in-the-Middle attacks. It also discusses emerging technologies and solutions that can enhance IoT security, including AI and machine learning, blockchain technology, and edge computing. Additionally, the paper looks at future directions and trends, highlighting anticipated challenges, advancements in security technologies, and evolving regulatory frameworks. By addressing these aspects, the paper aims to provide a comprehensive overview of IoT security and offer insights into protecting these critical systems.
